Dr Melikian is an amazing surgeon and has great bedside manner. He was patient with us and answered all of our questions, even ones that probably seem silly to a doctor. But when you're going to have surgery on your spine it makes you kinda nervous. So glad we found him. He has given my husband his quality of life back. He spent years being miserable and now 6 months post surgery he has made so much improvement with his pain, mobility, and so much more. I met with Dr. Melikian yesterday regarding a bad car accident I was in, and what a JOY this man is!!! He doesn't act like your typical stuffy doc spewing all his degrees, and he is NOT "cut happy!" He will actually TELL you if you don't need surgery, rather than doing it unnecessarily just to get money!! And, he takes the time to LISTEN to you, which is rare! Such a NICE guy! It was the the most refreshing doctors appointment I've had in a long time!
I had an artificial disk replacement with Dr. Melikian on my L5-S1 back in September. Compared to the other surgeons I met it seemed to me that he was clearly the most knowledgeable and it was nice to talk to someone that had a clear solution for me that didn't involve fusion. He answered every question I had, the operation was well prepared and everything went smooth. Over the past six months I've had multiple follow-up appointments ensuring I was doing well and now I'm fully recovered . I've got my active life back so I really couldn't be happier with his support.
