An Absolute Angel
An angel sent from heaven. My dad had a herniated disk in his neck which was pushing on his spine. He was starting to get weakness in his hands and we weren’t sure what to do. His family doctor sent us to another surgeon but we felt like we needed a second opinion. We were luckily enough to find Dr. Melikian through a family friend who is also a doctor. He really took the time to answer all our questions and explain to us what was wrong and what my dad’s options were. He has excellent bedside manner, is very humble and has a great sense of humor. After surgery, my dad felt great! He had almost no pain. The weakness in his hands has been improving every day since. Thank you Dr. Melikian, you are an angel!
Excellent Spinal Surgeon
Dr. Melikian is obviously an extremely well educated, certified and experienced spinal surgeon but his conservative and easily understood risk vs reward outcomes were very helpful. He is very low key, empathetic and easy to understand. I would highly recommend Dr. Melikian to anyone contemplating spinal surgery.
Saved my Moms Life!
After 2 previous operations which left her debilitated, my mother had severe back pain and was desperate. She had a lot of trouble walking and nobody could figure out what to do. We met with several surgeons and thankfully came across Dr. Melikian. At our first meeting, we felt immediately at ease with him and my mom chose to move forward with surgery. After surgery, mom felt great! He was able to fix all the issues which were keeping her from walking and cleaned out all the old scar from her previous operations. Now it’s as if shes back to her old self again! I would highly recommend him Dr. Melikian to anyone who needs a spine surgeon. It was nice to meet a doctor who really cares for his patients.
He Is the Best
Dr. Melikian is by far the best spine surgeon. He is kind and compassionate with excellent bedside manner. I had terrible neck and arm pain and was having trouble working and even sleeping. After neck surgery with him, I awoke and the pain was gone! I only regret waiting so long to go and see him.
A Happy Conclusion
In July of 2016 I was suddenly diagnosed with foot drop as a result of stenosis in my spine. I was referred to Dr. Melikian by his colleague, and scheduled for surgery almost immediately. I found him to be non-anxious, thorough, very patient and very skillful. My surgery, fusion of L4 and L5, was successful and without any complications. I all of my checkups subsequently, he has been encouraging, clear in his explanations and positive. I am grateful to have been referred to him.

I couldn’t have picked a better doctor. Dr. Melikian is the most patient surgeon I have ever met. He is extremely caring and always took the time to answer my questions. I would highly recommend him to anyone with a neck problem.

The first time I met with Dr. Melikian, I was impressed with his willingness to listen, answer questions and not rush through the appointment. I had been in pain for several months and thought it was due to my Fibromylgia. An MRI revealed severe spinal canal stenosis. I liked the idea of the less invasive procedure Dr. Melikian recommended. Immediately after surgery my pain was gone and has not returned. My children and I both recommend Dr. Melikian to anyone needing back surgery.

I received a minimally-invasive fusion by Dr. Melikian and his wonderful surgical team and I now have my life back! He is beyond excellent!
After having some MRI’s done, every single doctor told me everything seems to be fine and there was nothing they could do but something was wrong as I was in constant chronic pain. After searching and searching I came across Dr. Melikian looked at my MRI; saw something other doctors weren’t seeing. Dr. Melikian took the time to listen to me and answer all my questions. He was very confident and without any hesitation told me he could definitely remove the hardware. Dr. Melikian removed the hardware successfully and since then I have been able to sleep. He is beyond excellent and His work ethics are top notch
